This, or something I hear it every day - over and over again and every possible opportunity.
I still remember how we meet our son's first words feverishly and proudly were allowed to watch how his vocabulary led to larger and everything has a precise sense. But it is probably as in children - once started, the practice so to perfection and that means in our case - speaking without the letter. (Cynics would say he the one I had - but I can not imagine for the life: D)
